Das erste Schwarz-Weiss Bild nach längerer Pause.
Ich habe noch zwei farbige Bilder in Arbeit, die aber irgendwie nicht fertig werden.
Mit diesem bin ich ganz zufrieden. Leider ist es nicht verkäuflich, da es bereits vorbestellt ist.

First black and white painting after a long break. I'm working on some colour paintings but cannot finish them somehow. I'm quite satisfied with this one. Unfortunately it is not for sale because it is ordered in advance.

Es ist ein sehr ruhiges stimmungsvolles Bild geworden. Die dunklen Wolken sind verflogen. Es ist eine Morgenstimmung.

A new morning, the dark clouds are gone. A quiet painting. I think I like it very much.

Das Bild geht zurück auf eine Abendstimmung, die ich so ähnlich gesehen habe, während eines Aufenthalts in Mexico. Durch den Ausschnitt wird es etwas abstrakt und es es ist natürlich auch stark verfremdet. Ich habe ziemlich lange daran gearbeitet bis ich einigermaßen zufrieden war.

The picture shows dark clouds on an evening sky at the sea.
It goes back to stay in Mexico some years ago. It did take a long to time to paint it until I was satisfied at last.

Die letzten Wochen habe ich überwiegend an diesem Bild gearbeitet. Ich hatte irgendwie kein Feeling einzelne Arbeitsschritte festzuhalten. Es ist jedesmal ein Wagnis ein realistisches Bild zu malen. Obwohl dies kein realistisches Bild ist, denn die einzelnen Bildteile sind komponiert. Trotzdem weiß man natürlich nie vorher, ob es gelingt, das dann auch zusammenzufügen. Ich mag, wenn Kunst etwas Rätselhaftes hat. So wie das Leben manchmal rätselhaft ist und Bedeutungen, die wir erahnen sich erst später oder gar nicht offenbaren. Wir spüren, da ist etwas, eine Wahrheit, da steht etwas zwischen den Zeilen, etwas wahres, etwas Bedeutungsvolles, eine Gewissheit, die wichtig ist.
Ich glaube das Kunst auf diese Art und Weise funktioniert.

I have worked for several weeks on this painting.
I wasn't in the mood to show the development. It was too difficult to work on this. It is always a risk to paint such a matter. You could fail very easily painting a realistic subject.
Although it isn't really a realistic painting because the several parts are composed. But you don't know if all works perfectly together in the end.
To me art has to be some kind mysterious. Like our live is sometimes mysterious and meanings, that we sense, will present themselves much later or never. We feel there is something, a truth, something between the lines, a significance, a certitude important for us. Art could possibly function this way.

08-15

Ich male im Moment an einem farbigen Bild 50 x 70 cm. Abends arbeite ich meistens an der Serie. Ich habe mir angewöhnt abends immer noch mindestens eine Stunde zu malen. Selbst wenn ich tagsüber unterwegs bin. So konnte ich das Bild 08-15 heute abend fertigstellen und poste es auch gleich hier.
I'am working currently on a coloured piece. Apart from that I have painted in the evening hours on another black and white painting. 08-15, completed it today and post it now here.
I have accustomed myself to work at least one hour in the late evening even when I'm off the whole day. I think it's a good habit for me.
